Yes, HogWallop is free for non-commercial use, but we would very much appreciate it if you registered your copy. That way, you help us develop new versions with additional functionality.

In a commercial environment, you must acquire a volume license.

• HogWallop doesn't come with any bundled software of questionable origin.
• It doesn't come with advertising that may lead you to click on unsafe links.
• In short, absolutely no adware, crapware, or bloatware 
• It is signed with a trusted certificate so that you know that it comes directly from us and nobody has messed with it in any way.
• You can download it directly from this site, so you know it hasn't been pirated or compromised in any way.

Always make sure that Windows displays the correct signature (HogWallop LLC) before proceeding with the installation.

HogWallop uses highly optimized algorithms to identify duplicate files, and it is multi-threaded to take full advantage of  all the cores in your computer's CPU. It is very fast.

Naturally, it can't overcome the limitations of a slow harddisk. When scanning a slow disk, you can speed things up by limiting the search to a specific file type or a more focused range of file sizes.

HogWallop is compatible with all 64-bit versions of Windows from Windows 7 and up.
